Guided Tours for Schools

Note

Guided tours in German and English can be arranged almost at any time, even outside opening hours.

No guided tours on Sundays.

Important: Bookings must be made at least 15 working days before the desired tour date.

If the date is confirmed, the tour is binding. Cancellations are possible up to 5 working days in advance without any cost consequences.

Due to space limitations, the number of tour participants per visit is restricted to a maximum of 20 persons for tours A, B, and J. For the tour C, 10 persons respectively

Book guided tour /Special Tours for Schools

Tour *

A Einstein's life and work in Bern, his scientific achievements in the wonderful year 1905, followed by a visit to his apartment during that time provides an overview on his private family life. Tour duration: approx. 1 hour. Price CHF 120.-

B As version A, complemented by more detailed but simple explanations of its scientific results in 1905 (Light Quantum Hypothesis, Brownian Motion, Special Theory of Relativity). Two of the three topics can be selected to be addressed in more details. Tour duration: max. 2 hours. Price CHF 180.

C As version B, complemented by demonstrations of simple experiments in connection involving the chosen topics. Tour duration: 2 hours Price: CHF 260.

J (The Young Einstein) Einstein's youth, his early interests, his attitude towards his school years in Germany; his time as a pupil and student in Switzerland. Tour duration: 45 minutes. Price Fr. 120.00 -. Afterwards free access to Einstein’s former family apartment and the exhibition.
